Zelve
Zelve is the oldest and longest lived settlement of Cappadocia region. Zelve known as the first place where the christinatiy began to spread in the region. There are many monasteries, churches and cave houses to be visited in Zelve.
Zelve located on the way to Avanos from Cavusin. You need to follow the signs on the way to turn Zelve direction and drive 2 more km to get Zelve.
Zelve used to be a village in past, however the village was deserted after the population exchange made between Greeks and Turks in 1920’s
Zelve, consists of three valleys, holds tens of secrets places to be discovered by its visitors. If you completely want to wander in all these 3 valleys you will need almost 3-4 hours and of course sneakers to ease your walk.
