Mount Uludag is the first ski resort  and center in Turkey however new ski resorts  built , Uludag still protects the popularity among the high society people.  Uludag as a ski resort   is still the best  .  Uludag all year around attracts visitors with available ski sports in winter season and camping , trekking  facilities summer season.  Hotels are located over Kirazlı plateau 2000 mt height.  Skiing usually done between october and april snow depth reaches 2 mt.  

If you don’t have equipment or  know how to skiing ,  equipment rental and instructor facilities  are available. Hotels are usually fully booked especially during weekends , natioanl and school holidays in winter time that’s why pre-booking is a must. Hotel prices weekends compared the weekdays are more expensive. Many of the hotels are closed in summer time and the open ones offer very cheap and reasonable prices.

Summer times Sarialan district is mostly preferred by people for camping and grilling. If you’d like to have clean air , be in the nature and eat grilled chichkens or meats you must definetely visit this area.

Glacier Lakes

Mount Uludag is also very lovely in summer time as much as winter times. If you don’t like so hot weathers and enjoy walking in the nature ; mount Uludag offers a very wide options . You can climb up to glacier lakes. It is a bit tough to reach these lakes as you walk over 2000 mt heights. When you reach Kilimli and buzlu lakes you will be enchanted with a great landscape view. 10 minutes walk from these lakes you will reach the karagol (black lake ) lakes name derived from the dark water it consists. If you are not afraid of the colour of the water you can swim in this cold water. People who will go for trekking and visit the lakes must take  suitable clothes , water and foods.
