The name of Hakkari derived from the tribe which is called Hakkar and  used to live in that part. In Arabic Language the name of the area known as  Hakkariye meaning of the city of Hakkars. 

Hakkari has a significant importance for the values it has in aspect of Tourism. Especially based on natural Tourism Types. Untouched Mountains , plateaus, valleys are waiting to be discovered by the adventurous people.
